AthleteOS help and FAQ
Answers to common questions about connecting your watch, how AthleteOS builds and changes your plan, billing, and your account.
Connect your watch
Which watches and apps work with AthleteOS?
Garmin, Strava, Apple Health (iPhone and Apple Watch) and Health Connect (Android phones and watches, such as Samsung, Pixel and Fitbit). AthleteOS works for running, cycling, swimming, triathlon and other multi-sport training.
How do I connect Garmin or Strava?
Open Settings, then Devices, and choose Connect on the Garmin Connect or Strava card. Sign in to that account and allow access. You can do this on the website or in the app.
Your finished workouts then sync on their own, usually within a few minutes.
How do I connect Apple Health or Health Connect?
These live on your phone, so you connect them in the AthleteOS app, not on the website. On iPhone, open Settings, then Devices, and connect Apple Health. On Android, do the same for Health Connect (install it from the Play Store first if your phone asks).
Once connected, your workouts, heart rate and sleep sync each time you open the app.
Your plan and coach
How does AthleteOS build my plan?
It starts from your goal race, the days and hours you can train, and your recent training history. It then lays out the weeks between now and race day so you build up, recover and arrive fresh.
How does the coach change my plan?
Each day the coach looks at what you actually did, how you slept, your resting heart rate and how you said you feel. If you missed a session, are run down, travel, or your week changes, it adjusts the workouts ahead of you, not the ones already done.
Every change comes with a plain-English reason, and you can see them all in one place.
By default the coach asks before changing your plan. You can turn that off in Settings, then AI coaching, then "Ask before changing my plan". Changes that protect you from fatigue or injury happen right away either way.
What do Fitness, Fatigue and Form mean?
Fitness is the training you have built up over the last six weeks. The higher it climbs during a build, the better. Fatigue is how much training your body is carrying from the last week. Form is the balance of the two: positive means you are fresh and ready to perform, negative means you are in a normal hard training block and need recovery before racing.
How is the stress of a workout worked out?
From your heart rate compared with your threshold heart rate. For cycling with a power meter, we use your power compared with your threshold power instead.
Free plan, trial and billing
What is the difference between the free plan and the 14-day trial?
The free plan gives you a race plan built from your goal and the time you have, with watch and Strava sync.
The 14-day free trial gives you AthleteOS Coach: daily changes to your plan as your training, sleep and schedule shift, a reason for every session, and coach chat.
Each person gets one free plan and one free trial, even if they delete their account and sign up again.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscribed on the website: open Settings, then Billing, then Manage subscription, and cancel there. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
Subscribed in the iPhone app: cancel in your App Store subscriptions (iPhone Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions). Subscribed in the Android app: cancel in Google Play, under Payments and subscriptions. Apple and Google handle these payments, so we cannot cancel them for you.
Can I get a refund?
Paid on the website or in the Android app? Email [email protected] within 14 days of a charge and we will refund that charge. No questions asked.
Paid in the iPhone app? Apple handles those payments, so ask Apple for the refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your account and privacy
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings, then Privacy & security, and choose Delete Account. There is a 30-day grace period in which you can change your mind. If you subscribed on the website, we cancel that subscription for you. App Store and Google Play subscriptions are not cancelled by deleting your account, so cancel those first.
The delete account page explains every step, what is deleted and what is kept, and what to do if you cannot sign in.
How is my data used?
We use your training and health data to build and adapt your plan. Some features use AI, and outside AI providers process your data to run them. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
You can download your data or delete your account at any time from Settings, then Privacy & security.
How do I contact support?
Email [email protected]. We usually reply within 24 hours.
